The Salvation Army is an international movement and an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible and its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
The Salvation Army’s Hudson Food Pantry serves their community’s need for nourishment, specifically, through their welcoming location in downtown Hudson on Third Street. They have been a partner with FeedHV since September of 2022 and have received about 6,000 pounds of donations through the network. The food pantry is open on Fridays from 7:30am - 10:00am. Their in-house food pantry serves about 195 families a week, and their mobile food pantry feeds about 30 families weekly. They also serve a beautiful lunch Monday through Friday between 11:30am - 12:30pm. Salvation Army volunteers come every day to cook and serve the meals, and so many other volunteers (about 30-35 per week) help with all of the other tasks that make their Service Center run smoothly.
